SPACE ROBOT

ICARUS

Icarus Robotics, an aerospace startup focused on advanced automation in orbit, is developing a robotic system designed specifically for microgravity environments. Sandbox Design partnered with Icarus to create a space-ready robot capable of navigating confined areas aboard space stations. Using precision thrusters for movement instead of wheels or legs, the robot can glide effortlessly through narrow modules, perform inspections, and assist astronauts in maintenance and logistics tasks.
